Meet The Board

Neighbors Serving Neighbors

Our organization is led by dedicated volunteers who live right here in Bush and Talisheek. We are united by a common goal: to protect the place we call home while building a stronger, more connected community for the future.

Rex Williams

Chair

Rex Williams

Rex Williams is a leader defined by service, advocacy, and a deep commitment to the future of our community. A graduate of both Southern Arkansas University and Grand Canyon University, Rex has spent over a decade as an educator and coach, cultivating the patience, discipline, and strategic vision necessary to guide our youth. His background in Special Education has honed an unwavering dedication to ensuring every voice is heard and every challenge is met with compassion. Rex believes the strength of Bush lies in its people. He brings this passion to the board, working tirelessly to preserve our rural way of life so that his grandchildren, and all future generations, can inherit a community as strong and vibrant as the one we cherish today.

Rhonda Scarlott Silva

Vice Chair

Rhonda Silva

Rhonda brings a diverse background in business, education, and the trades to RRI. A Cum Laude graduate of Kent State University with a BBA in Business Administration and a minor in Political Science, she founded student writing centers and interned for a US Senator as a speechwriter. Rhonda also taught adult continuing education classes before embarking on a career in construction.

Moving to Covington in 2006 and settling in Bush in 2008, Rhonda and her husband built a successful commercial cabinetry and decor business, which they ran until 2022. Now enjoying life on their small farm, she tends to an apiary, over 200 fruit trees, and various poultry. An artist for 40 years, Rhonda is dedicated to preserving the quiet, rural character of the area she loves.

Marion Miller

Secretary

Marion Miller

A resident since 1988, Marion is a business owner and office manager with a rich history of community service. For over 10 years, she served as PTA President, Vice President, and Volunteer Coordinator for Fifth Ward Jr. High School, alongside volunteering at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Though raised in Kenner, she fell in love with the quiet peace of Bush—from morning coffee watching the birds to the tight-knit bonds where everyone knows everyone.

Over the years, she and her husband have raised Beef Master cattle and adopted horses, now enjoying life raising chickens and rabbits. She has watched a generation of Bush children grow up to raise their own families here, preserving the rural traditions she holds dear.
